Kingdom prayer comes first in order of sequence and first in priority for kingdom activity. As Luther put it "Prayer enacts the gospel."
God's message and God's kingdom purposes remain dormant until ignited by prayer. The character of the church and the direction of the culture around us remain unaffected by our prayer-less activity.
We will study the foundations of Kingdom prayer, the prayer life of a leader (considering the prayer life of Jesus from Luke), the power of a praying church (looking at the united earnest prayer of apostles and people in Acts).
"When we clasp our hands in prayer, it is the beginning of an uprising against the disorder of the world" - K Barth
"The chief work of the Spirit is faith. The chief activity of faith is prayer" - J Calvin
