Dan and his wife Laura have been doing pastoral work since 1999. Dan took on his first lead pastor role in 2001, while still in seminary. In 2004 Dan accepted a call to be the church-planter to begin a PCA work in Traverse City. That church took off nicely, and after nearly 10 years, Dan received a call to join the makings of a church-planting network in the Detroit/metro-Detroit area.
Dan and Laura began gathering a new church in the fall of 2014 and launched their first morning service in 2015, at Orchestra Hall—home to the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. Though there have been many struggles getting this work off the ground, they have a thriving mission church of around 150 people—Redeemer Presbyterian Church Midtown Detroit.
