Stories From The Field: Cuba

Alfredo Forhans' pastoral ministry began while studying at the seminary and for 13 years continued serving traditional churches of legalistic background. Providentially God brought Alfredo to a rediscovery of the gospel of the grace of God, becoming this a core value, not only theologically, but also as ministerial philosophy and practice for all areas of his life.  In 2007, Alfredo and his family moved to the city of Holguin to start a movement of church planting with the Gospel as the central value. His vision continues to focus on urban church planting, training of emerging leaders and the revitalization of existing churches. Alfredo is the Director of the theological seminary in central Cuba while continuing to pastor and lead church planting initiatives in Oriente province.  His wife, Dainel, and three adult children all serve the Lord with him in various capacities. Learn more »
